WHY CHOOSE CRESTVIEW ??

  1. Amazing teachers (3 Excel Award Winners; 15 + teachers with Master's Degrees; 17 teachers with Gifted Endorsement; 9 teachers with ESL Endorsement)
  2. Award-Winning Principal (Mrs. Hunt was awarded the Administrator of the Year in Granite District in June '09...she is currently nominated for the Adminstrator the Year for the entire state of Utah.  Congratulations Mrs. Hunt!)
  3. Academic Excellence (high test scores on CRT & Iowa tests; high in U Pass ranking)
  4. Focus on the Arts (Meet the Masters Program; Music Appreciation Curriculum; large 5th and 6th grade band and orchestra programs; regular school-wide assemblies featuring individual artists, as well as groups such as BYU folk dancers; amazing field trips to museums, the symphony, Ballet West, Utah Opera, jr high and high school musical productions, etc.)
  5. Gold Medal Platinum Plus School (This is a very difficult level to achieve, indicating that Crestview is committed to promoting healthy lifestyles in its students through food choices, exercise and education about safety to and from school.  As a result, Crestview has been awarded both Federal and UDOT grants.)
  6. Incredible School-Wide Programs (Be a Team Player-Read, a reading contest in conjunction with Scholastic Books & the Utah Jazz; Junior Achievement Curriculum, which focuses on business education; Emergency Day, which teaches children about safety and careers in emergency services.)
  7. Amazing Grade-Level Programs (6th grade Shakespeare Production and student-led SEP Conferences; 5th grade Healthy Lifestyles Research Program and Junior Achievement City; 3rd Grade Cinderella Productions; Kindergarten Walking Report Card Nights)
  8. Special P.E. Curriculum (Cutting-edge curriculum that extends beyond the classroom into real life, teaching students about healthy lifestyles through food choices, goal-setting, and rewards.)
  9. Community-Wide Learning (In addition to the above-mentioned field trips, there is an emphasis on real world learning through field trips to other sites such as Thanksgiving Point, the Zoo, local stores and more...)
  10. New Sidewalks (Mrs. Hunt worked very hard to secure grants for sidewalks along 20th East, which were put in Summer 2009.  Thanks Mrs. Hunt for helping our children walk to and from school safely!)
  11. Before & After School Enrichment Classes (Our PTA offers excellent before and after school programs in Spanish, Art, Tennis, Jazzercize, Tumbling, Golf and Chess--click on the link at the top of this page for more details...)
  12. Super-Cool Website (Really, isn't this a GREAT way to learn about Crestview programs, teachers, resources, etc.?  Thanks to Jesse Harding, our website guru and dedicated Crestview parent!)
